Behavior Technician:

Qualifications and Skills:

High school or equivalent diploma or transcripts Minimum of one year experience Reliable transportation Ability to interact, engage, and have fun with individuals with disabilities Desire to learn and work independently at times BT must enroll in the 40-hour RBT course within 1-2 days of hire. BT must complete the 40-hour RBT course within 7-14 days of hire. BT must schedule and complete the RBT Competency Assessment within 15 days of hire. Behavior Technician:

Provide high-quality, interactive ABA therapy directly with clients of varying ages in a variety of settings including the client's home, school, and/or the community. Help learners gain life skills that will increase the learner's independence (communication, daily living, potty training, social/emotional skills, play skills, vocational skills) Teach learners new communication skills and replacement behaviors through the use of evidence-based techniques to reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data and meet data collection minimums for the services provided, as well as write detailed session notes in order to inform decisions made by BCBAs.
