Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Norwalk, Connecticut Norwalk, CT Job Details Contract $16.93 - $46.93 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Parent and caregiver training as behavioral support RBT Certification Treatment plan development Teacher collaboration Data analysis skills Staff training Implementing behavioral health therapy programs Applied Behavior Analysis Progress documentation 1 year Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for children Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school in Norwalk, CT is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to support students' behavioral and developmental needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school setting by implementing effective behavior intervention strategies tailored to individual student goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Monitor and document student behavior data and adjust interventions as needed Provide direct one-on-one support and coaching to students based on established plans Train and guide staff and families in implementing behavioral strategies
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working as a Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles Ability to analyze behavior data and develop individualized interventions Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting student growth

This contract role is based in Norwalk, CT and will require on-site responsibilities.
