Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and skill acquisition. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines, to enhance independence. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment plans. Support the development and execution of individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs. Engage with clients using teaching strategies designed for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, fostering communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors. Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation, records, and progress notes accurately. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and support overall client well-being. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles. Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement behavior intervention strategies effectively. Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress precisely. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers.
