Registered Behavior Technician Blue Horizon Professional Group, Inc Fort Myers, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 - $30 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification HIPAA Assisting with ADLs Working with children Direct support Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral interventions. The RBT will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans, promote skill development, and improve overall quality of life. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those served while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, toileting, and feeding, fostering independence. Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during sessions to inform treatment adjustments. Support teaching and skill acquisition across various domains, including communication, social skills, and self-care. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update individualized care plans and behavioral strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure a safe environment for clients by adhering to behavior management protocols and safety procedures. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery. Skills Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies. Ability to collect precise data and maintain detailed medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Excellent teaching skills with a patient-centered approach to support skill development. Familiarity with medical terminology, care plans, and documentation related to behavioral health services. Compassionate attitude with the ability to work effectively with individuals requiring specialized care. Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
