Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral support to children with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder. This flexible position starts with 12 hours per week and has the potential to increase to 25 hours per week, offering a dynamic schedule that adapts to both client needs and staff availability. As an RBT, you will work directly with clients in home-based settings, implementing individualized behavior plans, collecting data, and supporting skill development through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Your role is vital in fostering positive behavior change, enhancing communication skills, and promoting independence for each child you serve. Responsibilities Implement personalized ABA therapy protocols designed by supervising behavior analysts to support clients' developmental goals. Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines, promoting independence and self-care skills. Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients in managing behaviors through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with families and care teams to update on progress, share observations, and collaborate on care plans. Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records and documentation. Participate in ongoing training related to special education, medical terminology, ethical standards for behavior analysts, and implementing ABA therapy protocols. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially within home-based or school settings. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and behavioral health principles. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively. Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately. Familiarity with medical documentation practices, medical terminology, and maintaining HIPAA compliance. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
