In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Your compassionate approach and dedication will help clients develop essential skills, improve their quality of life, and foster independence. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies tailored to each client's needs, focusing on skill development and behavior management. Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to ensure the effectiveness of intervention plans and adjust techniques as needed. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills. Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication, social, academic, and functional skills through engaging activities. Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Collaborate with supervisors, families, teachers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies and update progress reports regularly. Foster a positive environment that encourages growth, patience, and understanding for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with autism in various settings. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers. Comfortable handling medical terminology and maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support individuals' growth and development. Ability to follow detailed instructions for implementing behavior intervention plans consistently.
