Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. Your energetic approach and compassionate attitude will help create a nurturing environment where clients can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental challenges, applying your knowledge of behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA) to foster growth and independence. Duties Implement individualized treatment plans based on principles of behavioral therapy and ABA under the supervision of a licensed clinician Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through engaging activities Monitor client safety and behavior management strategies to ensure a secure environment for all participants Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with team members to update progress reports and contribute to the development of individualized care plans Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement teaching strategies effectively Strong data collection skills to track client progress accurately Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus Excellent communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to patient care High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavior analysis or related fields is advantageous Join us in empowering individuals through compassionate care and innovative behavioral strategies.
