The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and therapy techniques tailored to each client's needs, focusing on behavior management and skill development. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and communication skills to promote independence. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral records, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support clients in developing social skills, communication, and adaptive behaviors through structured teaching methods. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals. Ensure a safe environment by following all safety protocols and managing challenging behaviors effectively. Uphold confidentiality standards related to medical records and client information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Experience assisting with ADLs, teaching new skills, and implementing behavior management strategies is beneficial. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, care plans, and medical records is advantageous. Background in special education or behavioral health fields will be considered a plus. Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with clients, families, and team members.
