Job Description

Behavior Technician Summit Behavioral Therapy is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. We provide services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Behavior Technician duties include providing support skill development and behavior reduction in accordance to the clients behavior plan, to the parent-child interaction as addressed in caregiver training, and assist in the development of future programming with the client. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, and or experience working with children with special needs. This opening is working specifically with a High functioning child with ASD that has a large variation in magnitude of maladaptive behavior.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates in Education preferred) Already an RBT Certification CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred but will be required before seeing clients) Must be able to pass background check and drug test Must be available Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm (flexible hours)
Reliable Transportation Computer Skills:
Strong internet and technology skills. Safety Care certified, PCM, or similar training.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 30 pounds Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time Must be willing and able to engage in quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan while working with children with challenging behaviors
