Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral interventions. As an RBT, you will work closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to implement personalized care plans that promote positive behavior change and skill development. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks to promote independence Support clients during teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, academic skills, and adaptive behaviors Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and managing medical records securely Collaborate with team members to update and modify care plans based on data collection and client progress Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, engagement, and emotional well-being Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician Experience working in School and Home settings Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education strategies Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention strategies effectively Strong data collection skills to track client progress accurately Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining detailed medical records Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and team members professionally Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required; ongoing training provided Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability to meet diverse client needs Must speak fluent English Must be in the process of obtaining a Broward County School Badge to be authorized to enter schools.
