The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral changes. This role involves creating tailored care plans, implementing therapeutic strategies, and collecting data to monitor progress. The ABA Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Implement individualized ABA therapy programs for children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-sufficiency. Collect and analyze data on client behavior to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide support in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy. Skills Proficient in Behavioral Therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities. Strong teaching skills to facilitate learning and skill acquisition in clients. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plan development. Familiarity with special education principles and patient care standards. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to manage behaviors effectively while fostering a supportive environment for clients.
