Job Description

Exempt Job Goal:
Under the direction of the Superintendent or his/her designee, the position of System Testing Coordinator will manage and coordinate the testing program at each school by providing oversight of state and local testing programs including GMAS, Advanced Placement, SLOs, and benchmark assessments. The coordinator will analyze and disseminate testing data at the district and school level and provide training and support in the understanding and usage of data to drive instruction.QUALIFICATIONS
1. A minimum of five years experience of exceptional teaching. 2. Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate (Minimum certification T-4). 3. Strong knowledge and expertise in data analysis. 4. Strong leadership qualities, ability to work and communicate successfully with others. Proven organizational and interpersonal skills. 5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Provide oversight of state and local testing programs including GMAS, Advanced Placement, SLOs, and benchmark assessments
- Uses student performance data to assist in instructional decision-making, school improvement planning as directly related to professional development.
- Develops and implements professional learning for K-12 based on state and local assessments.
- Shares strategies with the teachers for improving achievement using assessment data.
- Prepares and disseminates administration procedures.
- Maintains an inventory of materials associated with testing programs.
- Organizes and maintains local and statewide testing program records and files.
- Develops, maintains, and appropriately archives assessment data & captures assessment data from appropriate sources.
- Assists in the collection and verification of accountability sources & provides support to schools in the administration of testing and interpretation of scores from the assessment program.
- Develops and prepares statistical summaries, graphs, and charts for various stakeholder groups.
- Works with vendors and State Department of Education personnel to gather and communicate expectations for testing at the local school level and to resolve problems at the school and/or system level.
- Gathers information and provides guidance regarding testing irregularities.
- Provides training directly to school test coordinators about test administration guidelines and procedures and provides technical support for assessment online programs.
- Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor and/or Superintendent of Schools.
Physical Requirements:
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including:Medium Work:
Exerting 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects.Terms of Employment:
Salary shall be paid consistent on the System's approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director of Technology and Media.Benefits
