All applicants must already have the RBT credential. The right candidate for this position will be someone who has a passion for working with children, and has the ability to connect with them on a level in which they will understand. Responsibilities Work with children diagnosed with Autism ages 2-16 years old Implement specific teaching techniques following ABA principles developed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) under the direct supervision of the BCBA Communicate and collaborate daily with team members, parents, and supervisors Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions Complete and submit documentation including daily session notes in a timely manner Qualifications Experience working with children with Autism and/or children with behavioral issues
REQUIRED.
Hold Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential in good standing Pass a 10-year background check Access to reliable transportation Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time Benefits Supervision and support to maintain your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential including opportunities to earn Professional Development Units (PDU) Excellent work/life balance with Center hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday Small privately owned clinic (not a large franchise corporation) run by the 2 original owners who are on-site daily RBT career advancement available (RBT Levels 1-3) Large clinic space with multiple sensory gyms, therapy rooms, groups rooms, etc Access to Medical, Dental, Vision benefits On average 12 paid Holidays and 2 floating PTO days Additional PTO accrual program Hours Full-time hours: Guaranteed 30 hours per week with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week (Clinic is open Monday-Friday 8am-4pm) Summit Autism Center provides effective treatment, based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We aim to maximize the potential of persons who are affected by Autism or other developmental disabilities by providing intensive instruction in the areas of behavior, social skills, and communication.
