Job Description
Georgia Developmental Services (Academy ABA) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians to join our team at our Roswell Clinic . As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work 1:1 with children with Autism to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors. Your role will be crucial in helping children develop essential skills and improve their overall quality of life.
Duties:
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Follow individualized care plans to provide support and assistance to children with behavioral challenges
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Accurately collect behavior data including: ABC, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, and interval based recording
- Collaborate with the BCBA to modify care plans as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive information
Skills:
- Experience working with children with Autism
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable
- Excellent writing and communication skills, maintaining a high level of organization and multitasking ability
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in required software
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism
- Maintain current status regarding required certification
Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in behavior analysis, special education, psychology, social work, speech and language pathology, or related field (preferred)
- RBT certification is preferred, but not required (paid training is provided)
Physical Demands:
- Must be willing and able to lift and/or move up to ~50 pounds and go from a sitting to standing position frequently throughout the day
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00- $24.
