Part-time Position Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct 1:1 therapy as prescribed by a treatment plan written by a BCBA to address instructional programs as well as behavior reduction protocols based on behavior analytic principles. They are part of the tiered therapy model of the Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), RBT's, clients, their families, and caregivers. They will implement instructional and behavior reduction protocols with treatment fidelity as well as collect data, assist in assessments as needed, and meet all RBT competency objectives as part of their credential. The essential responsibilities are listed, but not limited to the following duties: Provide direct 1:1 therapy in home, community, school, and clinic-based settings implementing instructional programs for skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols based on ABA principles. Collect data on various instructional programs and behavior reduction protocols with accuracy. Utilize various combinations of behavior analytic teaching methods such as natural environment teaching, discrete trial teaching, prompt fading, and desensitizations for skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Graph all program and behavior reduction data daily at the end of each session through the company's data collection system. Complete all progress notes thoroughly and submit it promptly. Assist in making materials for instructional and behavior reduction protocol materials. Ensure program integrity through direct observations from BCBA supervisor, responding to, and accepting feedback during supervision. Maintain and observe confidentiality of client and follow the current phone and communication policy. Arrive at sessions on time (30 min before start time). Ensure reliable transportation and valid Driver's license. Maintain CPR certification (provided by the company) Maintain clear, ethical, and professional boundaries with clients, family, and caregivers. Promote respect and dignity to clients and family members and caregivers. Report safety concerns, or ethical violations to Behavior Analysts as soon as possible. Comply with mandated reporter guidelines and responsibilities. Collaborate and follow instructional programs and behavior reduction plans as instructed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Basic and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry students with adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, leg braces, etc.). Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to maintain a variety of positions working with children (i.e., kneeling, crawling, jumping up and down, laying on back, laying on stomach, sitting in a chair, standing up) Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate electronic devices for data collection platforms. Must be able to receive detailed instructions through oral communication Must have the necessary computer skills to navigate various methods of remote supervision, program details, and behavior reduction protocols. Must have a working and reliable vehicle to get to and from home and community sessions

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. RBT certification before the start of employment. RBT credentialing can be received during the application process. Enquire with us to learn more about this opportunity.
