Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician Arlo Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. As an RBT, you will work directly with clients to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role is vital in fostering skill development, promoting independence, and improving overall quality of life through evidence-based behavioral therapy. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each child's unique needs, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills. Support teaching and skill acquisition across various developmental domains through engaging and motivating strategies. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records and documentation securely. Collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and progress monitoring. Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized care plans that address behavioral health needs and promote positive behavior management. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and their practical application in therapeutic settings. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing behavior management strategies. Excellent data collection skills to track progress accurately and support evidence-based decision-making. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a compassionate manner. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and maintaining detailed medical records. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's growth through specialized care plans.
