Job Description
Intervention Specialist - Full-Time or Part-Time Access Living Meridian, Idaho Do you love working with children? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Access Living is a mental health counseling agency and developmental disability service provider located in Meridian, ID, proudly serving clients throughout the Treasure Valley. We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Behavior Interventionist to join our team. This position offers flexible scheduling and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with developmental disabilities. A portion of this role will take place in a school setting during the day.
Position Overview:
As a Intervention Specialist , you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents (ages 3-21) who have developmental disabilities. Your role will be to teach essential life and behavioral skills that promote independence and reduce maladaptive behaviors. You'll collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in applying behavioral techniques across multiple environments—home, school, and the community.Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support and instruction to children with developmental disabilities Implement behavior support strategies and skill-building activities Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and school personnel Track client progress and maintain accurate documentation Assist in generalizing learned skills across different environments Work independently and as part of a supportive team Deliver services both in-home and in-school as neededQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a social science field from an accredited college or university OR be within 24 credits of completing a bachelor's degree in a social science Minimum of 1 year of supervised one-on-one experience with children with disabilities (required) If this requirement is not yet met, we can offer a supervised pathway to obtain the necessary experience Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain with our support)Compensation:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour , based on experience and qualificationsBenefits:
