Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Therapist/Technician (RBT), where you'll play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized behavioral interventions, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to meaningful progress in clients' lives. Your dedication will help foster independence, improve communication skills, and promote positive behavior change within a compassionate and collaborative environment. Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), tailored to each client's care plan. Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence. Support teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, and functional life skills through engaging methods. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and updates to care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent care and effective behavior management strategies. Foster a safe, supportive environment by applying patience and positive reinforcement techniques while managing challenging behaviors. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies. Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing patient care routines in educational or clinical settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Demonstrated ability to collect detailed data accurately and utilize it to guide treatment plans. Background in special education or related fields is advantageous but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential.
