Job Description
Behavior Technician Elevated Therapeutics Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, hygiene, and mealtime support
- Work one-on-one with individuals to teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors
- Collect and record data on individual progress and behavior
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and modify behavior plans as needed
- Follow all medical documentation protocols and maintain accurate records
- Provide behavioral therapy in accordance with individualized treatment plans
- Support individuals in educational settings, including special education classrooms
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods and procedures
- Ability to follow medical records protocols and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with children
- Do not need to be an RBT to start, but completion of course and test within 60 days of hiring
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Background in special education or related field We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
