Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, hygiene, and mealtime support
Work one-on-one with individuals to teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors
Collect and record data on individual progress and behavior
Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and modify behavior plans as needed
Follow all medical documentation protocols and maintain accurate records
Provide behavioral therapy in accordance with individualized treatment plans
Support individuals in educational settings, including special education classrooms

Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
Familiarity with data collection methods and procedures
Ability to follow medical records protocols and maintain confidentiality
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with children
Do not need to be an RBT to start, but completion of course and test within 60 days of hiring
Experience working with children with disabilities
