Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Herrin, IL/Marion, IL Salary Range = $75,000
- 85,000 annually (based on experience) Commitment Bonus = $5,000

JOB SUMMARY
BCBAs as a part of Hope Behavioral Consulting are responsible for the ethical and evidence-based delivery of behavior analytic services to an assigned subset of clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities in accordance with all guidelines stipulated by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB). This also includes but is not limited to, case management responsibilities, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides clinical case management for assigned caseload, which includes, but is not limited to completing assessments, conceptualizing goals and the course of therapy, recommending therapy hours, creating treatment plans, reviewing data and other pertinent information to make treatment recommendations, and communicating with all relevant stakeholders. Involves the entire family or caregivers in treatment such that treatment plans include training goals, parents/caregivers are frequently updated on progress, growth, or areas of continued focus; BCBA will provide parent/staff training each month, which can be in whatever setting is deemed most appropriate. Completes all required documentation, thoroughly and accurately, within the required timelines; Converts all sessions in time reporting platform within 24 hours of completion. Accepts supervisory feedback and adjusts behavior and practices accordingly.CASELOAD AND PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS
(unless otherwise stipulated) Complete 30 hours of personal billable time per week or 120 hours per month. The 30 hours of billable time must be entered into time reporting platform and converted prior to the start of the next weekMARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Assumes the responsibility of a mandated reporter concerning incidents of alleged abuse and neglect, as outlined by state guidelines and in accordance with the organization's policies. Performs all other assigned duties as required.WORKING CONDITIONS
The work required by a BCBA reasonably takes place in indoor and outdoor settings, except in inclement weather. Work may be performed in a clinic setting, the client's home or in some other community setting ; works very near others, within a few feet or less; involves close contact with individuals; potential exposure to loud sounds and high noise levels intermittently. The work may include significant usage of a motor vehicle as well as maintenance of an active, state-approved driver's license; Work may require flexible hours, outside of normal business hours.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Behavior Analyst must model and work directly with clients and families; this role may be subject to prolonged periods of sit-down work at a desk and working on a computer as well as prolonged periods of sitting while traveling, walking, or standing with clients and providers both indoors as well as traversing outdoors when applicable. This position and work involve traveling to various work sites as needed; must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 pounds at a time; assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods of time such as: Kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, and standing; requires supporting clients and/or adaptive equipment; willingness and ability to make quick body movements.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge in functional analyses, behavior program development/monitoring, and competency-based staff training procedures in program implementation. Specialized knowledge in Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities; Autism Spectrum Disorders or Mental Health Disorders. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Ability to understand and execute detailed communication about clients. Ability to maintain a professional appearance aligned with the organization's dress code, but also with hygiene and grooming. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Ability to navigate and utilize various software systems such as Central Reach, Microsoft Office and ADP systems. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to establish, develop and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers. Skill in cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with both individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.TRAINING, ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee must have a master's degree, an active BCBA credential and maintain good standing with the BACB or hold a master's degree in a related field and have at least 5 years of experience providing behavior analytic services. Employee must demonstrate not only a thorough understanding of the principles of ABA, but also a strong clinical skillset. Employee must be organized, punctual, and able to set and meet goals and deadlines. Employee must demonstrate strong communication skills, across all modalities, and must be able to work alongside colleagues of their same discipline, but also others. Employee must demonstrate sound judgement, problem-solving, and flexibility. Employee must recognize and accommodate cultural differences and diversity.
