Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Key To Hope LLC Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, primarily using applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients with autism and other behavioral health needs. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive behavior change, enhance communication skills, and foster independence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in behavioral therapy while providing compassionate patient care in a supportive environment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Support patient assessment and intake processes by assisting with diagnostic evaluations and behavioral health screenings. Assist in developing and maintaining detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with licensed clinicians and special education professionals to tailor interventions that meet each client's unique needs. Provide patient care by engaging children and individuals with autism in therapeutic activities that foster communication, social skills, and independence. Maintain a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and medical terminology standards. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and individuals with autism or other disabilities. Strong data collection skills to track progress accurately and support clinical decision-making. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and medical records management. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Compassionate attitude combined with patience and excellent communication skills for working with diverse populations. Ability to follow detailed treatment protocols, conduct behavioral assessments, and assist in diagnostic evaluations as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Coursework in psychology, special education, or behavior analysis Experience in home-based, clinic-based, or school-based ABA services Bilingual abilities (if applicable) Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and move quickly in response to client needs Ability to engage in active play and participate in client activities Ability to manage physically demanding behaviors safely and appropriately
