Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting students and educators as a school-based BCBA/Autism Specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across four school sites in the Springfield area. As an expert in behavior analysis and autism support, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, guide classroom staff, and help foster environments where every student can thrive. Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical skills, experience in school settings, and a passion for working with diverse student populations. What you'll need: Active BCBA certification (please include a screenshot with your application) Prior experience supporting students with autism in schools Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and crafting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) A track record of coaching teachers and paraprofessionals on evidence-based behavior strategies Familiarity collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Reliable transportation for travel between multiple sites Capacity to pass required drug screening, background checks, and fingerprinting Strong professional conduct: timeliness and proactive communication regarding attendance Your key responsibilities: Deliver ongoing behavior consultation and support across four school sites Conduct FBAs and develop or update individualized BIPs Partner with classroom teams to provide coaching and professional development Support and consult in autism classrooms, modeling effective strategies Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and administrators Maintain accurate records and communicate progress effectively Enjoy the dynamic setting of public schools while enhancing skills in applied behavior analysis.
