Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support elementary students with autism in a structured educational setting near Cambridge, MA. This contract role focuses on providing intensive behavioral and classroom support to high-needs K-2 students throughout the current school year, with the possibility of extending based on district needs. Ideal candidates have demonstrated experience in special education, particularly working with students with significant behavioral and communication needs. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by collaborating with an engaged team of educators and related service professionals in a supportive school-based environment.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Background working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and students with intensive behavioral challenges Familiarity with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), data collection, and effective de-escalation strategies SafetyCare training highly desirable Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills for coordinating with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized behavioral interventions for K-2 students with autism Implement and track Behavior Intervention Plans as directed by supervising BCBA or school team Assist with communication strategies, daily routines, and transitions in the classroom Monitor and accurately document student progress and behaviors Maintain a safe and structured environment for all students Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative team planning Take the next step in your career supporting students in a dynamic, team-oriented elementary setting.
