- Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team for 2-3 days a week for a 6 month contract to assist with partial leave of absence coverage.
Job Summary:
Provide training to staff members on best practices for classroom and individual student management while working collaboratively with teachers to create Individual Response and Intervention Programs. This position will focus on the social and emotional development of the students with relation to their behaviors.Detailed Responsibilities:
- Behavior Management
- Support an assigned caseload for BCBA consultation
- Attend any meetings regarding students on your caseload (IEPs, cohort meetings, mini clinics, IEP prep meetings, student management meetings, etc.
- In the moment crisis support as needed
- Support Lunch block 2-3x a week for behavior management
- Oversee and support students behavioral issues as needed
- Create Individual Response and Intervention Plans, and meeting with parents to review, obtain consent, and answer questions
- Train staff on data collection for targeted items
- Graph data and share results with parents and involved staff (teachers, counselors, therapists). Discuss potential program changes based upon data collection
- Revise Individual Response and Intervention Plans if students have not made sufficient progress
- Participate in new hire orientation and training for classroom management
- Responsible for writing IEP goals/benchmarks and progress notes as needed
- Document consultation services as specified on students service delivery grid
- Perform and write FBAs as needed
- Become Safety Care certified and work with other certified instructors to train all staff members accordingly
- Provide classroom consultation and effective implementation of therapeutic behavioral interventions
- Other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Master's degree and active BCBA certification is required
- 3+ years of relevant experience is preferred, including experience with students with high functioning autism
- Passion for special education and proven ability in behavior management
- Strong ability to take initiative, manage strategically, and respond functionally on a day to day basis
- Enjoys working as a consultative member of multidisciplinary teams within a therapeutic milieu.
- Strong writing skills, analytical abilities, and effectiveness with staff training
- Supportive, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
