Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a 1 to 1 Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this role, you will work closely with clients, implementing individualized behavior plans and providing consistent support to promote positive behaviors and skill development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in behavioral health, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education while making a lasting impact on the families you serve. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support children's social, communication, and daily living skills Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing, promoting independence Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively Collaborate with supervisors, parents, teachers, and other team members to ensure consistency across care plans and educational settings Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality Support children during therapy sessions by creating a nurturing environment that fosters trust and engagement Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan implementation Excellent data collection skills to track behavioral progress precisely Ability to assist with ADLs in a patient, respectful manner that promotes independence Familiarity with special education practices and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs Compassionate attitude combined with patience and excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and families Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives! $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
