Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment Support, Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. Responsibilities:
Implement individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect accurate and consistent data on client behavior and progress during each session Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to support skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals Assist clients in developing communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills Maintain detailed session notes and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards Collaborate with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support client outcomes Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions
Requirements:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to follow detailed behavioral protocols and respond calmly in challenging situations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, families, and team members Must be able to pass a background check and meet any state or agency compliance requirements
