  • 50% Quick Apply Description The Behavior Technician provides trauma-informed behavioral support services to children and youth in foster care.
This role focuses on implementing individualized behavior intervention plans designed to address emotional regulation, social skills, and adaptive functioning. The Behavior Technician collaborates closely with foster parents, case managers, and clinical teams to ensure interventions align with permanency goals and promote stability in placement. " This position is contingent upon grant funding/award. Recruitment is being conducted in advance of a final funding decision. Employment will begin only if funding is secured. " Essential Functions Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of a BCBA or licensed clinician. Support children and youth in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and positive social behaviors. Collect and document behavioral data accurately for progress monitoring and treatment adjustments. Provide coaching and modeling for foster parents and caregivers on behavior management techniques. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review progress and update intervention plans. Maintain compliance with child welfare regulations, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines. Respond to behavioral crises using approved de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed care principles. Assist with transition planning for youth moving between placements or toward permanency. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field preferred. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire. Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in foster care, child welfare, or behavioral health settings. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks and meet state child welfare requirements. Share job details to
