Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students with significant social and emotional needs by stepping into a key behavioral role in a specialized school-based program. This contract opportunity, located in the heart of Frederick County, offers the chance to work closely with the Pyramid Program at a dedicated middle school site. The Pyramid Program features an intensive, small-group environment, delivering integrated behavioral and therapeutic interventions while ensuring students are included within a larger, supportive academic community. This assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, June 4. Youll have a smooth transition by shadowing the current BCBA through December before taking on the primary role during the leave period. The full-time schedule runs 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with the possibility of some after-school meetings.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Valid BCBA licensure required Strong background supporting students with significant behavioral, social, or emotional needs Experience within school settings or therapeutic education programs preferred Understanding of functional behavioral assessments, data collection, and intervention development Flexible, collaborative mindset with an ability to consult and work closely with multidisciplinary teams What you'll be doing: Conduct assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure student success Provide direct support and consultation to staff implementing behavioral strategies Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team sessions as appropriate Experience first-hand the satisfaction of advancing inclusive education and therapeutic supports for students who need it most.
