Job Description
Sheppard Pratt School in Glyndon is a leading provider of year-round special education and therapeutic services, catering to students grades K-12. Our comprehensive program serves students with a range of needs, including autism, emotional disability, intellectual disabilities, other health impairments, specific learning disability, and speech or language impairment. Nestled on a picturesque 43-acre campus, the school offers a unique educational experience surrounded by nature trails, a greenhouse, and a sensory-friendly playground. As a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) you: Are responsible for the timely completion of functional behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention plans on all children assigned to the Autism program. Prepare Positive Behavior Support and Management Plans, train staff in their administration, and reassess and revise plans as needed. Supervise Assistant Behavior Specialist(s) and/or Resource Specialist(s) assigned to program. Work with education and treatment team; serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and family regarding behavior support and management. Depending on credentials and licensure, may work independently or under appropriate supervision by a licensed professional. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience. What we need from you. Requires Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, behavioral psychology, special education or closely related field of study and 2-3 years' behavior assessment and management experience with assigned patient population and persons with developmental disabilities and/or autism. Internal candidates with Bachelor's degrees and 4-5 years relevant experience will be considered, provided they are enrolled in Master's degree programs upon hire into the position and remain enrolled until completion. Requires experience with computer software, including Microsoft Excel, and data collection and analysis.WHY SHEPPARD PRATT?
