Registered Behavior Technician As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. You'll work closely with a team of professionals to implement behavior intervention plans, ensuring that each individual receives the personalized care they deserve. What you'll do Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to promote positive behavior change. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and quality of life. Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accurate documentation for ongoing assessments. Collaborate with families and team members to develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide support in teaching essential skills, including social interactions and communication techniques. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive medical records and documentation. Engage in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in behavioral therapy. Basic qualifications Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation. Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices. Preferred qualifications Background in special education or related fields. Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral analysis. Previous experience working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum.
