Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support clients in achieving their goals, and collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Deliver direct behavioral therapy sessions based on individualized treatment plans aligned with the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence. Collect and record accurate behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Implement behavior management strategies to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Support clients in educational settings or home environments by applying teaching techniques tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Communicate regularly with clients' families, caregivers, and team members to update on progress, discuss goals, and ensure consistency across settings. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and implementation of ABA therapy protocols. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting behavioral health in home-based or school environments. Strong data collection skills to track behavioral progress accurately during sessions. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
