Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM•2:15PM Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support a 5th-grade student in a school-based setting in Augusta, Maine. This role begins immediately and continues through the end of the school year, with a strong possibility of extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) and next school year (NSY).Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 behavioral support to a 5th-grade student throughout the school day Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect accurate data on student progress and behavior Support the student in academic, social, and emotional development Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors Maintain a safe and structured environment for the student and othersStudent Profile:
The student may exhibit physically and verbally aggressive behaviors Requires consistent behavioral support, structure, and de-escalation strategiesQualifications:
Active RBT certification required Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting Strong behavior management and de-escalation skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations Reliable transportation and punctualityPreferred Qualifications:
