Contract Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field preferred Experience working with children in an educational or behavioral support setting Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports Ability to follow behavior plans and respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or emotional/behavioral disorders Training or certification in CPI, ABA, or similar behavioral intervention programs
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support for at risk populations using individual or small group meetings. Provide direct behavioral support to individual students or small groups in classroom and school settings Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education program (IEP) goals as directed by case managers and principals Collaborate with classroom teachers and MTSS teams to support consistent behavioral expectations and intervention strategies Collect, document, and report behavioral data to support progress monitoring and decision-making Use evidence-based behavior management strategies, including positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques Support students in developing social, emotional, communication, and self-regulation skills Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, counselors, and administrators to ensure consistency of interventions Assist with crisis prevention and intervention when necessary, following school protocols Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student information Participate in staff and team meetings, trainings, and professional development as required Communicate with students, staff and families as required This job description in no manner states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by the position incumbent.
