Job Description

Job Summary We are currently seeking applicants who are serious about working in the field of ABA. We work primarily with individuals on the autism spectrum, so we need technicians who are willing and able to learn the science of ABA and follow clinician directed treatment planning for the consumers we service. We provide a medically necessary service, so technicians are paid by the billable hour. We provide in-home, center based, and community based services. We need people who are experienced, dedicated, compassionate, and willing to learn the correct way of completing their jobs. ABA experience is preferred. Please do not apply if you are not willing to use the science of ABA to shape behaviors, or are not willing to work with an array of challenging behaviors, including but not limited to aggression and self harm. Responsibilities Provide direct 1:1 care to consumers by following STRICT treatment plans and programming written by the overseeing clinician. Take on-going data as prescribed by the oberseeing clinician Record ABC data on challenging behaviors, as directed by the BCBA clinician. Identify and utilize positive reinforcement to lead ABA sessions Ability to work independently with the support of a BCBA lead Pairing with building relationship with consumer and families Accepting feedback and using it to apply to the direct session with consumer as instructed by the BCBA Showing up to work promptly, professionally, and free of distractions that are not work related Experience Proven experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Familiarity with care plans, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance is essential. Background in behavioral health or therapy, particularly in applied behavior analysis, is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients and their families effectively. Experience in assisting individuals in achieving personal goals related to their behavioral health.
