  • Part-time Bay Human Services is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to provide 1:1 applied behavior analytic (ABA) therapy with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an exclusively in-center setting, with opportunities for community outings based on treatment goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementing 1:1 behavioral programs for children according to their treatment plans, receive clinical supervision from a BCBA or QBHP, observe and record children's behaviors, participate in all training and meetings, as well as provide support and encouragement on a daily basis. Strong communication and organizational skills preferred. Daily travel is required, reimbursed both with hourly pay and mileage reimbursement. Paid training will be provided for all new staff at their signed hourly rate. Opportunity for reimbursed successfully passed RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) exam following a 3-month period. Job Summary/Objective:
Provide direct care to those authorized with autism services. The Applied Behavior Analysis Technician will implement one-on-one behavioral programs to children in their homes according to the treatment plan.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Be aware of and work to prevent communicable disease.

Observe and record the child's behaviors in the approved format within the required timeframe.

Participate in a training program that provides instruction on the basic concepts of ABA, discrete trial teaching techniques, behavior, function of behaviors, child development, behavioral measurement and data collection, generalization and it's importance in sustainability of learned/acquired skills, medical conditions and illness that impact behaviors, and first aid & CPR Receive clinical supervision from the BABH Psychologist and/or Child Mental Health Professional for each child worked with.

Participate in training provided by the CMH concerning the child's individual plan of service/behavioral intervention. Participate in all required meetings (clinical & administrative).Report all unusual incidents/emergency/crisis situations to the CMH and the BCBA.Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.

Experience working with children with developmental disabilities/intellectual disabilities. Experience working with children and/or adolescents with autism spectrum disorders is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development.

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.

Ability to learn psychological principles and carry out specific treatment plans as developed by the psychologist. Ability to interact well with children and parents.

Valid driver's license.
Travel:
Daily travel to and from appointments, activities, and errands may be required. Essential Job Functions•

Ability to meet physical demands of the job including stooping, bending, turning, stretching, lifting.

Must accept risk of working in a group setting where employees are exposed to communicable diseases and occasional combativeness. Ability to work in an environment that generates ongoing noise from individual(s), audio devices, equipment, etc.

Onsite work required. Required to work variable hours/ shifts.
