St. Paul Youth Services' (SPYS') Behavior Intervention Program (BIP)delivers both an on-site program and targeted professional development for educators and school administrators that's proven to improve classroom management; improve student academic performance, behavior, and attendance, and dramatically reduce suspensions. St. Paul Youth Service' (SPYS') Behavior Intervention Program (BIP) Specialist is responsible for the following: Partnering with
TEACHERS AND STAFF
before school starts and during the year to improve classroom management techniques, Working 1-on-1 with
STUDENTS
on classroom effort and behavior, while providing an in-school mentor to help them deal with tough issues, and Engaging with the students' FAMILIES on goal setting and discipline, so schools can focus on student learning.
