Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our family. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and fostering a supportive environment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Provide direct support to clients in various settings, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Assist clients with ADLs to promote independence and improve daily functioning. Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and interventions in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client care plans and behavioral health. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistency in care and support strategies. Teach social skills and communication techniques to enhance client interactions and relationships. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy. Experience Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and principles is essential. Experience in special education or patient care settings is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plans is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in behavioral health practices is essential.
