Job Description

Position Summary The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The RBT works under the close supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children, adolescents, or adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral needs. Services are provided in accordance with individualized treatment plans, Montana Medicaid guidelines, and BACB ethical standards. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized ABA treatment plans as developed by the supervising BCBA/BCaBA. Deliver direct 1:1 therapy in clinic and preschool Collect and record accurate data on client progress, skill acquisition, and behavior reduction. Report session outcomes and client concerns to the supervising BCBA. Assist clients in developing communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills. Implement behavior intervention strategies to reduce challenging behaviors, as directed. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, BACB, and Montana state laws. Participate in regular supervision meetings, team trainings, and performance reviews. Adhere to the

Ethics Code and agency policies. Complete required documentation for government and commercial insurance reimbursement, in accordance with medical standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain active RBT certification. Qualifications High school diploma (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field (preferred). Current RBT certification through the BACB (required) or eligibility to complete certification upon hiring date. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities (preferred). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to follow treatment protocols and implement structured interventions. Ability to pass background check requirements in Montana (e.g., DPHHS/Child Protective Services). Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity, including kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing, walking, and running, in order to actively engage with and follow children throughout the day. Reliable transportation and valid Montana driver's license (if required for role).
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
