In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your primary focus will be on delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting data to support positive progress. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors. Use applied behavior analysis techniques to teach communication, social skills, and independence. Assist clients with activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting to foster independence. Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper record-keeping. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to support consistent implementation of behavioral strategies. Support clients in various settings including homes, clinics, or community environments while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles. Ability to collect and analyze data accurately for progress tracking and treatment adjustments. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan implementation. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
