Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the growth and well-being of students as a Registered Behavior Technician in a school-based contract role near Hillsborough, NC. This full-time position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning August 27, 2026, and ending June 12, 2027. You'll work Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Your main focus will be working 1:1 with a student in need of significant behavioral support. The student may engage in aggressive or challenging behaviors, requiring both strong intervention skills and compassion. The ideal candidate will have direct experience supporting students displaying complex behaviors and be adept at implementing individualized behavior management strategies in a school setting.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Proven experience managing significant behavioral challenges in a school or similar environment Ability to build rapport and establish trust with students Comfortable using evidence-based behavior intervention plans Excellent communication and documentation skills Resilient, patient, and adaptable to changing student needs
Principal Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 behavioral support for the assigned student Implement and document behavior intervention plans under supervision Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families Collect and maintain accurate behavior data Contribute to team meetings and support the student's progress and safety each day This contract role offers stability, clearly defined hours, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on a student's educational journey.
