Behavior Technician Behavior Technician Wilmington, North Carolina Contract Mar 24, 2026 ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team full-time and make an immediate impact within New Hanover County Schools in Wilmington, NC. This role supports students receiving special services by addressing maladaptive behaviors, improving coping and problem-solving skills, and increasing access to learning in the least restrictive environment. The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of the assigned principal and in collaboration with Special Services leadership, providing direct student services, staff collaboration, and professional development.

Schedule:

Part time - 20 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct behavioral and social-emotional support to students Implement evidence-based and best-practice behavioral interventions Collaborate with families, educators, administrators, and community partners Participate in IEP meetings and Individual Plans of Care Support student transitions to less restrictive placements Provide staff training and follow-up consultation Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with Medicaid guidelines Use technology to support communication and service delivery

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

? High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, education, or related field preferred. ? Experience working with children or students with behavioral, developmental, or emotional needs preferred. ? Experience implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

? Hold, or be qualified to hold, a North Carolina Professional Educator's License W2
