Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your dedication will help foster positive behavior change, promote skill development, and support independence for those you serve. Responsibilities Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on approved treatment plans, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks. Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching functional language and social interactions. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and behavioral records, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with team members to implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, independence, and emotional well-being. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health goals effectively. Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance related to medical records is advantageous. Compassionate attitude with patience and excellent communication skills for working with individuals with diverse needs. Must be willing to complete required training and certification as an RBT according to state and BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) standards.
