Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this rewarding position, you will implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), fostering meaningful progress and improved quality of life for your clients. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help create a positive, engaging environment that encourages growth and development. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' developmental goals. Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting to promote independence. Support teaching sessions by using evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual's needs, including communication and social skills development. Maintain detailed and compliant medical records, care plans, and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and progress monitoring. Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards related to patient care, behavior management, and confidentiality. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Excellent teaching abilities with a patient, positive attitude toward guiding clients through skill acquisition. Proficient in data collection methods for tracking behavioral progress and treatment outcomes. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation processes, and medical records management. Ability to assist with ADLs while promoting independence in a respectful manner. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of client information.
