The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in assessing, designing, and implementing effective behavioral interventions tailored to each client's needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies based on the principles of applied behavior analysis. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across environments. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to client progress and treatment outcomes. Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on behavioral techniques and strategies. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify specific behavioral challenges and recommend appropriate interventions. Utilize medical terminology effectively when discussing client cases with healthcare professionals. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A valid Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification is required. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with special education needs is highly desirable. Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical records management. Strong skills in patient assessment, including the ability to analyze data and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and their application in various settings.
