Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/Behavior Therapist Step by Step Learning and Development Lawrenceville, NJ Job Details Part-time | Contract $30 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification Working with individuals with developmental disabilities HIPAA Health information regulatory compliance Patient interaction Data collection Full Job Description Job Overview Step by Step Learning and Development is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician to join our team. The RBT /BT will work directly with individuals with diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients with autism and developmental disabilities. Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to promote skill development. Collect data on client progress and behavior, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained. Provide support in various settings, including home, school, and community environments. Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust treatment plans based on client needs and progress. Maintain confidentiality of all client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in special education and patient care. Qualifications Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is not required but preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to educate clients and families effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
