2026-2027 Job Overview 50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) for a school-based position in Brookside, NJ . The ideal candidate will provide direct behavioral and educational support to students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral needs while working closely with Special Education Teachers and the school team. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to students. Implement individualized behavior support strategies under the direction of qualified school staff or a BCBA. Support students with academic, communication, social, behavioral, and functional goals. Use positive behavior support and appropriate de-escalation techniques. Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines. Collect and document behavioral data and student progress. Collaborate with Special Education Teachers, BCBAs, therapists, administrators, and families. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred. Experience as a Behavior Technician, RBT, Paraprofessional, or Behavioral Aide is a plus. Strong communication, patience, organization, and teamwork skills.
