Full Job Description Registered Behavior Technician- Passaic County New Jersey Job Summary:
At Strides ABA, we create a space for your child to step up their game and reach goals that previously seemed out of reach. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide in-home or daycare-based therapy for children with developmental disabilities. This is a part-time opportunity with competitive pay and ongoing training, allowing you to grow professionally while helping children reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress Collaborate with the BCBA regarding client care Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate interactions with clients and their families
Qualifications:
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and kneel, sit, stand, and move around frequently during sessions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for community and in-home services) Clean background check required for working with children and families
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of ABA principles or willingness to learn through trainings provided
Legal Requirements:
Adherence to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and data protection Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding child welfare and mandatory reporting Physical ability to assist with safety protocols, including lifting or moving clients when needed
