Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Behavior Technician to join our team. This vital role involves implementing behavioral interventions, supporting clients with developmental disabilities, and assisting families in achieving positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to ethical standards and best practices in behavioral health. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and other self-care tasks. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans. Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols tailored to each client's individualized care plan. Support clients with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders through direct behavioral therapy. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and modify behavior management strategies. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote understanding and engagement. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with special education environments, school-based programs, or home-based behavioral services is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and behavioral health practices is beneficial. Experience implementing ABA therapy protocols and managing behavior in clinical or home settings is desirable. Demonstrated ability to collect behavioral data accurately and utilize it for treatment planning. Commitment to ethical standards outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team.
