The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA), with a passion for working with children and promoting positive behavior change. As an RBT, you will implement individualized care plans, collect data to monitor progress, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for our clients. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce problematic behaviors. Use evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on teaching functional skills and independence. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and communication skills, fostering greater autonomy. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and progress, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards such as HIPAA. Support the development and execution of individualized care plans aligned with best practices in behavioral health and special education. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records, including progress notes, session reports, and treatment updates. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, learning, and emotional well-being for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. Collaborate effectively with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and support strategies. Experience Prior experience working directly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral management techniques is essential. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing teaching strategies within special education settings is advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is beneficial. Strong data collection skills to track client progress accurately over time. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to behavioral health. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification is required; ongoing training in behavior management is encouraged.
